Privacy Policy for Past Papers IN

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Past Papers IN is an educational Android app provided by Gochi ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what information the app and its service providers may process, why it is used, and the choices available to you. Contact us at gochidev365@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

Independence and Educational Materials

Past Papers IN is independently developed. It is not an official application of, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other educational institution. For official examination information, visit the CBSE website.

Examination papers and related materials are provided for personal educational and reference purposes. Their copyrights remain with their respective owners. Availability in the app does not grant permission for uses that infringe those rights. See our Terms of Use for more information.

Information Processed by the App

  • Local app data: The app stores preferences, chosen subjects, favourites, recent papers, cached catalogue information, downloaded documents, and reminder settings on your device to support your study experience and offline access.
  • App service requests: The app creates an anonymous service session to retrieve catalogue information and submit feedback. Our API and file-hosting services receive network requests, including the IP address, requested resources, and session information needed to respond and protect the service. An anonymous session does not require your name or email address.
  • Feedback and content reports: If you submit feedback or report a problem, we receive the message, report type, relevant document details, app version, and Android version. If you email us, we also receive your email address and the information you include. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in reports.
  • Purchases, when available: Google Play processes payments. The app uses purchase and entitlement information to enable or restore paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates services that may process information about your device and use of the app:

  • Firebase Analytics: Measures app use, including subject access and feature interactions, to help improve the app.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Supplies crash and diagnostic reports to help us resolve stability problems.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging and Remote Config: Support update notifications and app configuration. These services may use installation identifiers and configuration or delivery information.
  • Google AdMob: Serves ads and measures their performance. Its SDK may process IP addresses, device identifiers such as the advertising ID, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Depending on your choices and applicable requirements, ads may be personalised or limited.
  • Ad mediation partners: The app includes integrations for Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), and InMobi. When used to serve ads, these partners may process device and advertising information under their own policies.
  • Google Play Billing: Processes purchases and returns purchase status when paid features are enabled.

Collection depends on the service configuration, available features, device settings, and applicable consent requirements. You can read more in the Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information, and AdMob data disclosures. Advertising partner policies are available from Meta, AppLovin, Liftoff, and InMobi.

How Information Is Used

We use information to deliver papers and app features, preserve your preferences, respond to feedback and content reports, diagnose faults, understand app use, display and measure advertising, prevent abuse, send enabled notifications, and support purchases when available.

Sharing and Disclosure

Information may be processed by hosting, analytics, diagnostics, messaging, advertising, and payment providers as described above. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers may process information outside your country. Their privacy policies and applicable data-protection requirements govern their processing.

Retention and Security

We retain information for the purposes described in this policy and any applicable legal requirements. Provider-held information follows the relevant provider's retention settings and policies. Local app data remains on your device until cleared, removed, or otherwise managed by the app or Android.

The app uses HTTPS for its configured API and document services and Android storage protections for local data. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee complete security.

Your Choices and Requests

  • Advertising: Where available, use Settings > Privacy choices in the app to review ad consent options. Android also provides controls for your advertising ID. Changing ad consent does not necessarily stop all service or diagnostic data processing.
  • Notifications: You can turn update notifications and study reminders on or off in the app and manage notification permission in Android settings. Study reminders are scheduled locally.
  • Local data: Use Settings > Clear app data or Android's app storage controls to remove local app data. Clearing local data does not automatically delete information already held by service providers or messages you have sent us.
  • Privacy requests: Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to withdraw consent or object to processing. We may need enough information to identify the relevant records and verify your request.

Children and Students

The app is not intended for children under 13. If you are below the legal age to consent to data processing or accept the Terms in your country, involve a parent or guardian before using the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

Third-Party Links

The app and these pages may link to external websites, apps, or services. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date above. Where applicable law requires notice or consent, those requirements apply.
